The Romanesque clock tower, whose belfry features gemel windows, is topped with a simple metal spire. The top of the façade of the structure itself, however, is decorated with an original little metal bell with a perforated drum.

Do not trust the austere appearance of the façades, whose covering was removed during the restoration carried out in preparation for the Olympic Games in 1992. Inside, a wealth of gold and Baroque colours awaits you!

This church, which was rebuilt in the 18th century, has a main altarpiece devoted to the glory of St. John the Baptist, here accompanied by St. Grat and St. Guérin, invoked to protect the harvests and the cattle respectively. In 1772, Pignol realised the central painting, representing the patron saint himself, partly hidden by the imposing coronation of the Baroque tabernacle.

The side altarpieces have a more sober Neoclassical appearance: to the right, the Rosary altarpiece features a painting from 1844, and to the left is the altarpiece of St. Sebastian, who was invoked against the plague.

The patron saint of the parish takes pride of place on the back of the pulpit carved in high relief alongside the four Evangelists, who are also found painted on the vaulted ceiling of the chancel.

Do not miss the painting above the stalls on the right-hand side of the chancel, featuring three identical figures holding a globe and each wearing a tiara: this is a rare way of depicting the Holy Trinity.
