What are the trail running options in the resort?

We have two permanent dedicated, marked routes on La Dent du Villard: one 9 kilometre loop and another 13 kilometre loop, perfect for working on your endurance. Alternatively, there’s the Plum KV route for performance training. It starts at Courchevel Le Praz and finishes at Le Col de la Loza: 1,000 metre elevation gain over a 5-kilometre climb, you’ll need to give it your all!

What would be your advice for getting started?

The best thing to do is work on your endurance on flat terrain, then gradually increase the difficulty. You can also start by just running the downhill sections and then work your way up to the climbs. It’s important to train for endurance and cardio and spend some sessions learning how to cope with altitude too.

What if somebody wanted to take part in a trail running event?

We’re hosting the Hoka One One X-Trail on the weekend of the 4th and 5th of August. There are 4 distances available: 54, 33, 21 and 11 kilometres as well as entertainment on the Saturday and Sunday.
