Climbers are spoilt for choice in Courchevel, with a variety of safe, specially equipped climbing sites, as well as via ferrata for all levels, from beginner to advanced.
Hone your technique on the various routes in the Avals Valley and Praméruel or practise on the indoor climbing walls inside the Forum and Aquamotion if the weather’s not on your side... there’s something for all levels and all requirements, both on your own or with a guide.
In Courchevel Moriond: rock climbing area (Biol canyon) with 12 routes of various lengths (Grande Val and Petite Val rock faces) and climbing across mountain ridges (Plassa).
In Courchevel 1850: climbing routes of varying lengths over rocks close to the top of the cable car (beneath Le Panoramic restaurant).
55 climbing routes for both beginners and experienced climbers. The perfect way to cool off on a hot day!
Altitude: 2000 metres.
Aquamotion: this 11-metre high climbing wall offers a selection of routes, including some which are self-guided, and a 3-metre high practice area. Kids will love the raised fun climbing area (from age 6 or 20 kg+).
Le Forum in Courchevel 1850 is home to a 13 metre-high climbing wall, which is open to all every day in July and August, from 9am to 10pm, (access reserved to the Mountain Guides Office from 4.30pm – 7.30pm). Personal insurance strongly recommended.
