Don’t miss the third season of the Dynafit Moontain Races!
Five dates are planned across summer 2014 for this original night-time trail race which takes place on Tuesdays under the full moon. A great, friendly atmosphere is guaranteed!
Meet at Courchevel Moriond at 8.30pm, for the start of this 9.3 kilometre night-time race (100 metre vertical drop and 800 metre vertical climb). It’s an unusual race format, because the finish line of this against-the-clock challenge is in the heart of the mountains at the “Grand Plan” Mountain Shelter (2280 metres) situated at the entrance to the Vanoise National Park.
The discipline’s top specialists will be able to compete for the season’s record, while mountain running beginners will have five opportunities to run in this exceptional natural setting by the light of the full moon. Participants and their companions can also enjoy a meal from the mountain shelter’s soup kettle!
The 3 best men’s and women’s times for each climb will win DYNAFIT prizes, followed by a prize draw for all participants. The best men’s and women’s times for summer 2013 will win 500€ prize money and a complete DYNAFIT outfit worth a total of 400€.
The men’s record to beat: Julien Rancon in 47’’59’39 and the women’s: Stéphanie Duc in 58’’28’77.
